Competition Terms
In the period from 16 February 2021 to 21 February 2021 the Guadagnini Foundation is organising the 1stInternational Violin Competition Stuttgart of the Guadagnini Foundation (Competition).
Violinists of all nationalities born after 31 July 1991 are entitled to participate.
Registration will be possible online from 1 January 2020 via the website muvac.com. The registration deadline is 31 July 2020:

All registered participants will receive a notification of admission to the Competition by e-mail by 1 October 2020.
All those admitted to the Competition must confirm their participation in the Competition by e-mail by 14 October 2020.
The competition will take place in Stuttgart, Germany, in the period from 16 February 2021 to 21 February 2021.
All Competition participants must register personally on 15 February 2021 at 6 pm at the Competition Office, State University of Music and the Performing Arts Stuttgart (Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst - HMDK), Urbanstrasse 25, 70182 Stuttgart, Germany, Room 8.28.
The preliminary rounds of the Competition will take place from 16 February 2021 to 17 February 2021.
The 1st round is scheduled for Tuesday, 16 February 2021, from 9 am to 6.45 pm and for Wednesday, 17 February 2021, from 9 am to 1 pm.
The 2nd round will take place on Thursday, 18 February 2021, from 9 am to 6 pm.
The final round is scheduled for Saturday, 20 February 2021.
The final concert with subsequent award ceremony will take place on 21 February 2021, 11 am, in the concert hall of the State University of Music and the Performing Arts Stuttgart (Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst - HMDK), Urbanstrasse 25, 70182 Stuttgart, Germany.
The winners of the Competition will be awarded the following prizes.
1st prize: EUR 25,000 as well as a Giovanni Battista Guadagnini violin from 1746 for three years.
2nd prize: EUR 15,000
3rd prize: EUR 10,000
